CAMPING SAFARIS:

NAMIBIA  -  a land of compelling beauty, abundant sunshine, wide horizons, endless stretches of golden sands and seas of red dunes, rocky plains, beaches, nature parks and modern towns.  Discover the most remote area with us on one of our exciting camping safaris.   
It is off the beaten track, and many of the areas visited do not have the infrastructure that the package tourist may require.   
Our experienced Namibian guides and well-equipped four wheel drive vehicles and equipment promise an unforgettable adventure.

DISCOVER KAOKOLAND (PTS 01)
Swakopmund to Swakopmund
12 days/ 11 nights camping safari

This guided safari offers the client a perfect opportunity to experience namibias infrastructureless north west . Encounter Namibias desert adapted elephants , the nomadic cultural Ovahimbas , the mighty Kunene river and its spectacular Epupa waterfalls and the beauty of the Hartmann valley in total isolation far from the normal tourist routes .The tour ends with a final relaxing overnight at Palmwag Lodge ( or similar ) before returning back to Swakopmund via Twyfelfontein and its famous rock engravings

Desert Elephants

KAOKOLAND / KUNENE RIVER (PTS 02)
7 days, 6 nights
Departure Palmwag Lodge into central Kaokoland, over the notorious van Zyl’s Pass into the Marien River Valley. Meet the Ovahimba and get acquainted with their ancient customs and traditional way of life. Explore the Hartmann Valley during your two nights’ stay at the luxurious Serra Cafema Camp. The return trip traverses the eastern border of the Skeleton Coast via the Hoarusib and the Hoanib River to Palmwag Lodge.

EPUPA- AND OVAHIMBA EXPERIENCE (PTS 03)
4 days / 3 nights
Departure from Palmwag Lodge via Sesfontein to a number of Ovahimba settlements in the Kaokoland and to the Epupa Waterfalls on the mighty Kunene River. Enjoy overnight camping on the banks of the magical waterfalls and day time walks to eplore the surroundings. Return to Palmwag Lodge on day four via Fort Sesfontein.

ON THE TRACKS OF DESERT ELEPHANTS
AND BLACK RHINO
(PTS 04)

3 days / 2 nights
Depart from Palmwag Lodge in the early morning.  The next four days will be spent tracking down the famous desert elephant as well as the threatened black rhino in the 5000 km² private concession area of Palmwag Lodge.  Your return journey takes you through Fort Sesfontein towards Palmwag Lodge to overnight and relax after these breathtaking experiences.

CLASSIC NAMIBIA NORTH-EAST CAMPING EXPERIENCE (PTS 05)
11 days / 10 nights
Experience the rugged area of the Khaudum Game Park, a densely wooded wilderness reserve and the fertile wilderness of riverine forests, flood plains, swamps and open woodland in the Kavango and Caprivi region bordering Botswana.

“JUST OVAHIMBAS” (PTS 06)
5 days / 4 nights
The safari starts from Palmwag Lodge and continues over the Sesfontein Pass into the centre of Kaokoland.  Experience the nomadic way of life of the Ovahimba and enjoy three overnight stays in the Hoarusib River.  A chance meeting with the desert elephant in the Hoanib River will be the definite highlight of your day. Spend a night under starry skies, close to the elephant. Return trip to Palmwag Lodge via Fort Sesfontein and surroundings.

OVAHIMBA EXPERIENCE (PTS 07)
Start your safari from Palmwag Lodge and continue over the Sesfontein Pass to Kaoko Otavi in the Hoarusib River, where you will camp under starry skies. Experience the nomadic way of life of the Ovahimba and learn about their ancient traditions. Return via Fort Sesfontein and surroundings to Palmwag Lodge.

DAMARALAND WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE (PTS 08)
Swakopmund to Swakopmund
9 days / 8 nights camping safari

Experience the very best of Namibias free living game outside a national park in the unspoilt nature and spectacular sceneries of the former Damaraland. This tour will lead you past the cape fur seal colony at Cape Cross , the Messum crater, Ugab and Huab river areas , the game rich private concession area of Palmwag Lodge hosting a huge variety of game inclusive of the black rhino and desert elephant, the spectacular Hoarusib river valley at Purros. The journey ends with a exciting outing to the private concession area of Etendeka before returning back from Swakopmund via the Sceleton coast park.

Namibia most interesting geology and rock formations can be found in the north west of the country. This specialized tour leads the client into the oldest geological areas inclusive of the Messum crater , the Ugab and Huab river formations and terraces , Doros Crater ,Twyfelfontein and the Etjo sandstone occurrence, past the majestic Brandberg massive and namibias own “Matterhorn” , the spectacular granite formations of the Spitzkoppe .
