TOUR PROFILE

Namibia’s spectacular scenic beauty and diverse colourful bird- and wildlife as well as the noises of the African nights, can only be experienced on a adventurous camping safari into the remote and isolated regions far off the normal tourist route.

For more than 20 years has Namibia Tracks & Trails been organising lodge- and camping tours in Namibia and offer all the excitement of a true African experience backed by the know-how to make it a truly memorable trip.

We keep social responsibility in mind, when planning and executing trips.   We support ecological tourism, and are fully aware of the fact that tourism can have an affect on the natural environment of wildlife and cultural diversity of indigenous people.

All our guides are dedicated conservationists with a sound knowledge of the fauna, flora and cultures of the region. They love their country, have been raised in it and know what is has to offer. They speak three languages and are able to communicate with the ethnic groups of Namibia.

All our safaris are offered on a non participation basis with the entire camping equipment supplied by us, i.e.

  • Comfortable dome tents:  2.4 m x 2.4 m x 1.8 m.
  • Sleeping rolls, which consist of comfortable canvas zip up cover with comfortable mattress, proper duvets, cushion, towels and linen.
  • Camping fold up beds.
  • Electric tent lantern and bedside table.
  • Fold up canvas washing stand.
  • Solar bucket showers (1x for every 4 guests).
  • Long-drop bush toilets (1x for every 4 guests).

Three wholesome meals are served at table.   Breakfast is “full English” style. Lunch consists of cold meats, salads, pickled cucumbers, olives, asparagus, fresh vegetables and fruit. Dinner is a three course meal. At dinner, wine and beer are part of the deal  -  so are sundowner drinks, i.e gin tonic or even a Scotch.

Transport is by custom built non airconditioned Land Rovers guaranteeing a window seat per client with a 1 plus 4 clients seat or 1 plus 6 clients seat configuration. Vehicles are equipped with huge sliding windows and photo roof hatches. Each vehicle is equipped with a fridge to keep the drinks cold.

The joy of camping in Namibia is being able to get off the beaten track to experience the beautiful wilderness and nature.
